[RETAIL IN ALL FORMATS] : French hypermarket model is 50 years old

This article goes back to French hypermarkets history since the first opening in 1963.
The main evolutions :
– The decreasing part of non-food (sport and DIY) items
– Increasing competition on the food core business activity
– How today dealing with the proximity retail, the drive format
However, despite significant disappointment and criticism, no one (in this survey) is predicting the total hypermarkets disappearance.
